PAST EVENTS & CELEBRATIONS

Happy Holidays from the Catholic Women’s League (CWL) Council at St. Patrick’s Parish in Markham! Thank you for your continued generosity, loyalty, and support. Nothing fills us with more joy and pride than the chance to serve and connect with our communities by helping those in need. Many of us is experiencing another challenging year as the pandemic continues. Despite the challenges of limited social activities, the CWL Council rose above and figured out alternative ways to stay connected and support the health and well-being of our community.

We ended the year with another Christmas fundraiser to raise money for people in need in our community. In partnership with Markham Valleyview Gardens, the members of the CWL Council sold beautiful poinsettias to support worthy causes. We held our event at Valleyview on December 11th and 12th , 2021.

Altogether, we have donated a $1,000 in No Frills gift cards to the Markham Food Bank and $600 donation to the Youth Patrol (an organization that supports young people experiencing homelessness based in Toronto).   

On behalf of the CWL, we want to extend our gratitude to all our members and friends who helped make this campaign a great success. We wish you a safe and wonderful holiday season, and we look forward to connecting with you in 2022!
